Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
~Matthew 28:19, (KJV)~ Missions Abroad
We, through God's grace and anointing, support several families in the mission field. They are Darrel and Bonnie Clowers, Michael and Leslie Tignors, Al and Coli Argo, Rose Boyd, and Ben and Deysi West. Below you can read a little about some of these wonderful families. Darrel and Bonnie Clowers Darrel and Bonnie Clowers and their children live in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where they are involved in church planting and leadership training. Darrel serves as the Regional Ministry Coordinator (RMC) for the West Indies/Caribbean and Bonnie is the World Intercession Network (WIN) director for LAMCAR. The Clowers believe effective leadership training is the key to mobilizing believers for the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Their vision for the Caribbean is to train the reached and to touch the unreached. The Clowers work to mobilize national leaders into ministry beyond the LAMCAR region. Please pray for them. Rose Boyd Rose is a career missionary with World Missions Ministries Division of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church and is a Bridge Missionary we support. She is the founder and Director of Operation Teaching Tools (established in 1997) and the CEO of Every Nation Education (established 2008). OTT recycles Christian resources from Pastors, churches and publishing houses. Once the materials have been sorted, by volunteers, they are prepared for shipping to established churches around the world. She takes training teams that participate in at least 6 training missions each year to train Spiritual leadership and lay-leaders. Ben and Deysi West and Family: The Wests live in one of the most forgotten places on earth. For nearly 10 years they have been ministering among the millions of Muslims and Buddhists in their corner near Tibet. Besides weekly ministry among the local unreached people groups, they regularly lead teams in sharing the Gospel and distributing thousands of Gospel booklets in hundreds of more remote locations. In the past year, God has also allowed them to begin to minister alongside and encourage the small Chinese church that meets in their city. Please ask God to grant them the love, passion, and boldness they need to continue proclaiming Jesus in such a dark and lonely place! Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ~2 Corinthians 9:7, (KJV)~ Our History
A prayer meeting was started in the home of Buster and Dora Padgett, in September of 1940, with Blackie Harlow holding service. This lasted about a year. From there a mission was started in a store in downtown Weldon, NC. The conference sent Hal Spence to assist in 1941. Later, Charlie Seuis came and they moved to an old store building facing Elm Street. The church was organized by Jerome Hodges around 1942. In 1955 the trustees purchased adjoining land upon which the next building would be built. This building would be the church home until September 5, 2004 when it was sold. On September 5, 1999, Tony D. Smith was assigned as pastor. January 2003 the name was changed to Liberty. In June, 2003, 3.815 acres were purchased on American Legion Road in Roanoke Rapids, NC. May 1, 2005 a new building (Phase 1) was dedicated to the Lord. Church was held in the building until the second section (Phase II) was erected, which made the church more than a 1Mil dollar facility. The church held a note burning on April 30, 2017, with Bishop Nelson presiding, for the church as it stands. We continue to grow with God's guidance, in our plans for Phase III, which includes paving the parking lot among other important projects. We give God all the glory!
